The Battle Rages on Against Breast Cancer!

My Mamere - Anita Rita Began Beaupre'
I have seen this disease up close…it took my best friend, my mentor, my confident – my grandmother. Ten years have passed since she left for heaven – I still miss her dearly every day. She carried the scares of the disease on her body – I still carry her struggle and strength in my heart.
I was so proud of her. She always walked with pride and never gave up, even in the final moments. I know that I will see her again – I find comfort in that.
I vowed to her that I would never give up on the fight against this disease and who better to stay in the fight – than military spouses. We’re tough and proud.
My grandmother’s name was Anita Rita Began Beaupre’. She was a mother, a daughter, a sister, a wife, an aunt, and always a friend. She was beautiful in every way.
Support those that need us. Engage in education and prevention. Live life to the fullest and never forget those that now look upon our “fight” from heaven.
